What are you willing to do for $10,000,000? Two-thirds of Americans polled would agree to at least one, some to several of the following:
- Would abandon their entire family (25%)
- Would abandon their church (25%)
- Would become prostitutes for a week or more (23%)
- Would give up their American citizenships (16%)
- Would leave their spouses (16%)
- Would withhold testimony and let a murderer go free (10%)
- Would kill a stranger (7%)
- Would put their children up for adoption (3%)

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" ` 1 Tim. 6:10.
While all of these are shocking, as someone who has adopted, that one jumped off the page. When you have adopted, you take great offense at comments like that.
ReplyDeleteThere is, simply put, no amount of money that could ever even get me to consider putting my precious children up for adoption--even considering we are still paying for the adoption almost 2 years later!
